Public Draft General Plan

It’s Here!

After five years of hard work and significant community engagement, the City of Ventura’s Public Draft General Plan is now available for public review. The General Plan sets the City’s direction for the next 25 years, balancing the preservation of Ventura’s unique character with opportunities for new housing and jobs.

Ways to Provide Feedback

There are multiple ways to provide feedback on the Public Draft General Plan.

1. Email your comments to planventura@cityofventura.ca.gov

2. Complete the online feedback form linked here. You can comment on as many or as little chapters as you would like, and can provide feedback multiple times.

3. Attend one of the following community events on the General Plan. More information can be found here.

   1. General Plan Open House, May 1, 2025, from 6pm to 8pm in the Community Room at City Hall.

   2. Planning Commission General Plan Workshops, April 23 and May 28, 2025.

   3. City Council Workshops, May 13, 14, and 15, 2025.

The comment period on the Public Draft General Plan will be open until late July.
